Watchful in the reeds
Frogs catch flies with sticky tongues
A warm day harvest

Sitting quietly
Bobber drifting with the Breeze

Gorge was dug by Two Giants
Vincent and Goram

Simley lake contest
Ace Hardware released a carp
Not caught yet, lurking.

Delta Queen arrives
Steam calliope playing
Riders disembark

Fish House out on ice
A pleasant day passed, no fish
Smells like smoke and beer

Sing of Moon River
And those Huckleberry friends
waiting round the bend

There’s moorings and docks
Quayside capstans anchored deep
boats bob, another’s wake

The rain falls and fills
banks boiling over, bursting
Nearby fields flooded

Stalking still water
Silver fish darting in reeds
speared by speedy beak

A flash of turquoise
minnow makes a meal for chicks
hungry mouths open

Filton and Sea Mills
Bristol Suburbs at each end
Linked by River Trym.

A little brook still
Leaping over rocks mid-stream
Fish chasing Gad Flies

Girl jumps from the bridge
Sad life now to end in death
Saved! Her fall broken.
