Unnoticed Cleanup Afoot

Microscopic bugs

devour red, and gold bounty

falling from the trees

The sun is lying low,

casting slanted rays to warm.

Plants slowly dying.

caught a mouse today.
Was thinking, a tasty snack.
work done; a short nap.

Spring came slow and sure
my neighbours went from my view
Fall caused their return.

There is a dead tree
still standing in my garden.
Woodpeckers find grubs.

Trees with leaves changing.
Green yellow, orange, red, brown
a woodland rainbow.
